DAD LINK Fiber Optic OS2 SC-SC Duplex Patch Cord

The DAD LINK Fiber Optic OS2 SC-SC Duplex Patch Cord is a two-fiber single mode jumper on 9/125 um OS2 glass with an SC duplex connector at both ends. DAD LINK supplies it nationwide in Iraq as the standard cross-connect for SC-terminated optical distribution frames, splitter shelves and transport equipment.

SC remains the default port on ODF trays and on most FTTH and GPON hardware installed in the region, which makes SC-SC the jumper an ISP or telecom operator consumes in volume. A Baghdad or Duhok head end will typically have feeder fiber spliced onto pigtails inside a 19 inch ODF, SC adapters presenting the ports, and this cord running from the frame to the OLT or the transport chassis. Because OS2 attenuates at under 0.4 dB/km at 1310 nm and supports 10 Gbps over 10 km, the same cord is equally correct at both ends of an inter-building campus link.

Which cord do you need

Duplex means two fibers, one for transmit and one for receive. If the equipment uses a single strand with bidirectional optics, which is normal on PON drops, you need the OS2 SC-SC simplex patch cord instead. If the active side has moved to LC optics, use the OS2 LC-LC duplex patch cord or the hybrid LC-SC variant. The frame these cords plug into is the 19 inch 24 core rack mount ODF enclosure.
