How to choose an HDMI cable

Measure the cable route, not the room. Conduit drops and service loops add meters. Passive HDMI holds 48 Gbps over roughly 2 to 3 meters; past that an active cable is required.
Match the rating to the display. 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz, VRR, ALLM and eARC all need the full 48 Gbps rating. Cables marketed as 8K without HDMI Forum certification often are not.
Respect direction, then bench test. Active cables are directional: source marked end to the player, display marked end to the screen. Backwards they pass no picture, and a cable already inside finished conduit cannot be swapped.

Typical Iraqi projects: ceiling projectors in university lecture theatres, LED walls in Erbil showrooms, signage in bank branches, and meeting room displays in government offices in Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah. Beyond the reach of any HDMI cable, integrators send AV over IP on Cat.6 and Cat.6A cable instead.
