The DAD LINK EZ RJ45 Crimping Tool (DAD.TL-7368R) is a pass-through crimping tool for terminating pass-through RJ45 plugs on network cable. The eight conductors are pushed all the way through the front face of the plug, the colour order is checked with the wires still visible, and the tool then crimps the contacts and trims the protruding conductors flush in a single action. DAD LINK supplies it in Iraq through authorized distributors.
Pass-through tooling exists to remove the most common cause of a failed termination. On a standard plug the installer works blind: the wires are cut to length first and seated inside the body, so a swapped pair is only discovered when the link fails a test. On a pass-through plug the same mistake is visible before the crimp. On a large job, a floor of offices in Erbil or a campus block in Sulaymaniyah running to hundreds of terminations, that difference decides how much of the day is spent re-terminating.
Specification
- Part number: DAD.TL-7368R

- Plug compatibility: pass-through style RJ45 plugs. Standard closed-face modular plugs take the modular tool instead
Which tool do you need
The two tools in this range are not interchangeable, which is why both exist. Use this pass-through tool with pass-through plugs. Use the modular crimping tool with standard closed-face plugs. Neither replaces a punch-down tool: keystone jacks and patch panels are terminated on insulation displacement contacts, not crimped. See T568A vs T568B for the pin order and the cable troubleshooting guide for what a bad crimp looks like on a tester. The wider tool and accessory range is under Accessorises.
