The DAD LINK Fiber Optic OS2 LC-SC Duplex Patch Cord is a single mode hybrid jumper on 9/125 um OS2 fiber in the standard yellow jacket, terminated LC duplex at one end and SC duplex at the other. DAD LINK supplies it across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region for FTTH aggregation, campus backbone and metro links that mix connector families.
OS2 is the correct grade for any link that leaves the building. It attenuates at under 0.4 dB/km at 1310 nm, carries 10 Gbps over 10 km and 100 Gbps over 40 km with the right transceivers, and it is what GPON and FTTH aggregation is built on. The LC-SC combination is the most common cross-connect in Iraqi ISP head ends and government campuses for one reason: the OLT or the aggregation switch is LC, while the ODF, the splitter shelf or the older transport gear presents SC. One hybrid cord makes that crossing without adding an adapter and two more mated pairs to a budget that already has to survive a long outside-plant run.
Where both ends are LC, the OS2 LC-LC duplex patch cord is the direct part and the one most commonly specified. Where both ends are SC, use the OS2 SC-SC duplex patch cord. For a short link that stays inside one building and does not need single mode reach, the multimode OM3 LC-SC duplex patch cord is the cheaper specification. Treat the polish question separately from the connector: PON and FTTH work normally calls for APC endfaces, general enterprise work for UPC, and the two must never be mated together.
