The DAD LINK Fiber Optic OM3 LC-SC Duplex Patch Cord is a hybrid multimode jumper on laser-optimised 50/125 um OM3 fiber in the standard aqua jacket, terminated LC duplex at one end and SC duplex at the other. DAD LINK supplies it to integrators in Erbil and across Iraq for 10 Gbps patching between modern optics and SC distribution frames.
OM3 is the multimode grade specified for current data centre and server room builds because it is laser-optimised for VCSEL sources: it carries 10 Gbps to 300 m and 100 Gbps to 70 m, which covers any run inside a single building. The LC-SC variant exists because the frame usually predates the switch. A new Erbil office block or a hospital data room will typically have SFP+ optics on LC and an installed ODF presenting SC ports, and this cord bridges the two in a single assembly instead of a cord pair plus an adapter, keeping two mated pairs out of the loss budget.
If both ends of the link are LC, which is now the common case on switch-to-switch patching, use the OM3 LC-LC duplex patch cord instead. If the plant is legacy 62.5/125 um rather than 50/125 um, match it with the OM1 LC-SC duplex patch cord, because mixing core sizes in one channel wastes optical budget. If the link leaves the building at any point, multimode is the wrong grade and you need the OS2 LC-SC single mode patch cord.
