The DAD LINK Fiber Optic LC/UPC-LC/UPC Single Mode 4 Core Adaptor is a high density fiber optic coupler that carries four mated pairs of LC/UPC single mode connectors in one panel cut-out. It is a per-port consumable on any ODF build: one mated position for every fiber presented on the front of the frame. DAD LINK supplies it across Iraq, from Erbil and the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah and Duhok.
Density is the whole point of this variant. A 48 core optical distribution frame presented on duplex adapters needs 24 cut-outs, while the same 48 cores on 4 core units need 12. That difference decides whether a frame fits in the rack space a bank, a ministry data centre or a new office block in Erbil has actually allocated. Single mode LC is also the format that matches SFP and QSFP optics, so this is the adapter that sits between a spliced pigtail on the rear of the panel and a patch cord running to the switch on the front.

How to choose
Work out the mated position count first, then pick the density. One fiber presented equals one position, so divide by four for this unit and by two for a duplex unit, then add spares. Where the panel is not space constrained, the LC/UPC single mode duplex adaptor is the simpler order.
