The DAD LINK Fiber Optic LC/UPC-LC/UPC Single Mode Duplex Adaptor is a small form factor fiber optic coupler that holds two mated pairs of LC/UPC single mode connectors in one panel cut-out. LC is the connector that matches SFP, SFP+ and QSFP transceivers, which makes this the default adapter for structured fiber inside a rack. DAD LINK supplies it across Iraq, with distributors in Erbil, Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah and Duhok.
Use it wherever fiber terminates inside a building rather than out in the plant: a bank or government server room in Baghdad, a university campus distribution rack, a telecom operator aggregation site, or a new-build office in Erbil bringing a fiber riser down into a comms cabinet. On an ODF panel, each spliced pigtail is presented through one of these positions and a patch cord takes the link on to the switch. Because the LC ferrule is 1.25 mm against 2.5 mm for SC, an LC panel fits roughly twice the port density in the same width, which is the practical reason data centre builds standardise on it.

How to choose
Match connector, polish and mode on both sides. This unit mates LC to LC only and UPC to UPC only. Where panel space is tight and the fiber count is high, the LC/UPC single mode 4 core adaptor puts four positions into one cut-out instead of two. For multimode OM3 plant the corresponding unit is the LC/PC multimode OM3 duplex adaptor.
