The DAD LINK Fiber Optic LC/PC-LC/PC Multimode OM3 Duplex Adaptor is a passive fiber optic coupler holding two mated pairs of LC/PC multimode connectors in a single panel cut-out. It is the standard presentation part for OM3 multimode plant terminated on LC. DAD LINK supplies it throughout Iraq, including server rooms and data centres in Erbil, Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah.
Multimode OM3 is normally an inside-plant fiber: floor to floor risers, row to row links in a data hall, and building to building runs on a compact campus. This adapter is what turns that plant into usable ports. On a university campus in the Kurdistan Region or a corporate headquarters in Baghdad, the OM3 backbone is spliced to pigtails inside the enclosure and each transmit and receive pair is presented on the front through one of these duplex positions. A patch cord then takes the link to the switch. LC keeps the port density high, since the LC ferrule is 1.25 mm against 2.5 mm for SC.

How to choose
Check three things: connector family, polish and fiber mode. LC mates LC only. This unit is specified PC, which is a flat-family dome polish, mechanically compatible with UPC but never with APC. OM3 is laser-optimised multimode, conventionally a 50/125 um core, and multimode plant should stay on multimode adapters. Where four positions are needed in one cut-out, the LC/PC multimode OM3 4 core adaptor is the denser option. On single mode plant the equivalent is the LC/UPC single mode duplex adaptor. Browse all fiber optic adapters, pair it with the OM3 LC-LC duplex patch cord, and read Fiber Optic Patch Cord Types Explained.
