The DAD LINK Socket 1 Port Face Layout (WPS-1P) is a single port network faceplate: a wall plate with one opening that accepts a snap-in keystone jack, presenting one RJ45 outlet at the end of a structured cabling drop. DAD LINK brands and supplies it in Iraq through authorized distributors.

One port is the right answer wherever the outlet serves a single fixed device and will never grow. Ceiling and wall access points, IP cameras on a corridor run, network printers, door controllers, digital signage screens and the outlet behind a reception desk all take one drop and keep it. Fitting a two port plate there leaves a blank hole that collects dust and invites someone to hang an unmanaged switch off it later.

Specification

  • Part number: WPS-1P
  • Ports: one
  • Module format: snap-in keystone opening, so the jack grade is chosen separately from the plate
  • Supplied as: faceplate only. Keystone jacks are ordered separately

How to choose

Decide the port count first, then the jack. Two ports at a desk position is the normal office standard, so use the 2 port faceplate for workstation outlets and keep this single port plate for fixed-device drops. Inside an electrical enclosure the same modules mount on the DIN rail keystone holder instead. The jack is where Cat.6 or Cat.6A and UTP or FTP is settled: see the keystone jack range. Fix outlet positions and counts before pulling cable, using the structured cabling planning guide.
