How to choose an outlet

• Ports per position. One port suits a single device drop such as an access point, a camera or a printer. Two ports is the normal office standard, giving each desk a data port and a spare for voice, a second PC or a future device without opening the wall again.
• Keystone format, not fixed jacks. These plates take standard snap-in keystone modules, so the same plate can carry Cat.6 or Cat.6A, shielded or unshielded, and the jack choice is made per drop rather than per plate.
• Where it mounts. Faceplates go on the wall or in a floor or desk box. The DIN rail keystone holder clips a keystone module onto a DIN rail inside a control cabinet, a small enclosure or an equipment panel, which is where an ordinary wall plate does not fit.
• Plan spares. Outlet counts are always set at design stage and never revisited, so add plates and blanks for the desks that get added later.

Range

All three take standard snap-in keystone modules, so they work with the full DAD LINK Cat.6 and Cat.6A jack range, UTP or FTP.

Typical use

Office and hotel fit outs in Erbil fit two port plates at every desk position and one port plates at ceiling access points and cameras. Government and bank offices in Baghdad use the same plates with shielded jacks so the screen reaches the outlet. The DIN rail holder is the item integrators reach for on industrial and utility projects, where an Ethernet drop has to land inside a control panel or a small wall enclosure alongside breakers and terminals rather than on a plastered wall.
